Crosscutting sides must be done 90 degrees to grooves.
The Miter saw will work, after all, Rodrigo set it up yesterday... Right Rolly?
| The Depth Stop must be set on the Miter saw so we don't cut through the MDF Fence! |
After squaring off one end, A stop block is set up to cross cut both sides to 9 1/4"
But Rolly had to adjust his width to 9 5/16", so he made himself a spacer block to remember and help set up the stop block accordingly.
A dry fit reveals any discrepancy with our machining. Now we can rip (a little less than 9 1/4") and crosscut (a little less than 19 1/4") our Top, Middle and Bottom. It also helps layout the rebates needed.
Perhaps some adjustments are needed
There, a dry fit tells all.
Wait! Why is there a strip of Oak laminated on the inside of this box?
