Layout and Laminations for ToolBox

Laying out our toolboxes components / This Pine is not wide enough to achieve our desired height, so some laminations are in order.

Alessandro thinks perhaps separating some components before glue up would make managing pieces on milling machines easier

Sharp eyes spot checks, splits and other defects that may dictate how we layout each board while ensuring manageable lengths (3' - 4') and minimum lengths (18") are respected.

The Load Distribution on these wide boards reduce the number of clamps needed

Strategic placing of Cauls ensure minimal amount of cupping and therefore milling

  Voilà    All glued up.
